Description

MUX DWDM

DWDM Optical Multiplexers/Demultiplexers (MUX/DEMUX) are designed to combine and separate signals, which are transmitted over single-mode fibers at C-band wavelengths of the DWDM.

A single-fiber DWDM multiplexer allows to organize up to 40 duplex or up to 80 simplex optical channels in one single-mode fiber. A dual-fiber DWDM multiplexer consists of two single-fiber multiplexers combined in one rack. Such multiplexers allow to organize up to 80 duplex optical channels or up to 160 simplex optical channels in dual fibers.

 

Standard optical DWDM multiplexers are configured with 2/4/8/12/16/20 duplex channels and 1 port (Express), which is used to ensure the scalability of DWDM-based solutions.

 

DWDM multiplexers organize the physical data transmission medium, therefore their parameters do not depend on the type of transmitted data and protocols.
